Adam van Koeverden, - a kayaker is among the favorites in the K-1 500-metre and 1000-metre events. He is the reigning world and Olympic champion in the 500-metre and won silver in the 1,000-metres at last year's worlds and bronze in Athens in 2004. Beijing was his second Summer Games. He was the Canadian flag-bearer at the closing ceremony in Athens and, later that year, journalists voted him winner of the Lou Marsh Award as Canada's best athlete of 2004. He has been chosen as the flag-bearer for the opening ceremonies in Beijing.


It was exciting to see shirtless Adam on TV paddle and twitch his iron muscles everytime he strokes. His oblique and abs looked like rippling ropes tangled made of concrete. Who can resist the idea of touching such a hard trained male body?
